I've been debating on getting the MacBook Air or the MacBook pro 16-in. I am leaning towards the air cuz it's cheaper. The 15-in model that is but I also want the M3 pro with a larger display I can use my trade-in. I currently have a Intel Mac 13-in and I've been looking to upgrade it for a while and I really want the 16 in but I didn't want to pay the price. I also want the M3 pro so I feel like the bass 16 in with the 512 storage might be enough, but I feel like I will upgrade the storage to 1 TB. What do you think?

When I had older routers with external antennas that screwed on with connectors, I got terrific signals by using directional antennas on both the computer and on the router itself. It's like a pipeline connection. My computer had 2 antenna connectors on the wireless adapter, so I used 2 directional antennas on 5GHz (and 2.4 GHz as it was a dual band antenna). I believe the antennas are still available on Amazon. They are waterproof and about 5 X 5 inches square, and would work outside if necessary. That's what would make your Ring camera have a stronger signal. Too bad you can't put a directional antenna on the Ring camera too.

Bought a used 14" M1 Max a year and a half ago for $2k. Still breezes through anything I toss at it. Upgrading would be pointless.

I have the iPhone 14+ but I don’t think I’m gonna like that new charging port mainly because I have his little plugs that I put in to the charging port that keeps lint and dirt out of it. Those won’t fit in that one besides don’t they have wireless charging anyway I don’t understand why the 15 has a charging port, I would just use the wireless charging

I settled on a 16" M3 Pro with 36GB of memory and am very happy with it.

I went with iPad Air 4, got a refurbished one off Amazon with cellular for 400 after tax. Bought specifically for flying. Pretty much using it for ForeFlight app and notes from air traffic control. If ima game I’m using a self built desktop pc. 4g has the longer signal.

Speedometer 2.0 I just got a 472 on my M1 macbook Air.. its the 8core CPU 8 core GPU and 512GB ssd. How is that possible compared to these scores in the 200's??

So, I'm not a Mac user (actually I have a Legion too), but this test is a little bit non-professional because the Legion has a GPU which also has memory (could be 6Gb or 8Gb more), and a lot of work is probably off-loaded to it, while on the Mac it is shared at all times. Also, you have to account for the Frequency of the sticks when you're comparing the speed of everything. And lastly the storage (SSD, HDD) can impact the tests a whole lot. CPU too obviously. So I think it's nice as a quick video for curiosity, but it a bit misleading because it's not a true apple to apple (pun intended lol) comparison on a lot of these tests. Like, saying "A mac" and "a windows computer" for a comparison is quire ridiculous.

Love my 13" M3 Air with 16GB/1TB configuration, can take it anywhere without a hassle, even use it on small airplane tables and has a long battery life. For portability and my use case (traveling, office work, watching movies, surfing, light gaming) definitely the best choice! For people who need extra power and travel less, the M3 Pro might be better.

Been using my iPad Pro 12.o from 2018 since it came out. Got me through college. Don’t think I need the pro anymore so the 12.9 air seems like a great option. Hopefully it’s less than $700

College professor here. The Mini is a great tablet for students. It would be my choice for note taking, studying.

I stopped buying these iPads. Hate Apple's price gouging. I'm glad to see the Snapdragon X Elite/Plus coming to market. I've already gone to Pixel phones. Can't wait to transition out of iPads too.

8:53 I wonder why in this benchmark difference between M3 8-core CPU and M3 Pro 11-core CPU is so small BUT the difference between M3 Pro 11-core CPU and M3 Pro 12-core CPU is much more noticable. It seems like 1 core more gives you more performance boost than 3 core difference. Makes no sense.

If I buy 2017 MacBook Air or MacBook Pro will I be able to use the latest/current software

I have personal M1 Max 14” and an M3 Pro from work. The only big difference I see is in battery life.

The advantage for Apple is that the computing experience is created by software and hardware created by the same company. It will be hard to beat the MacBook Air

I currently have a mid 2015 MBP which is really showing its age. As you can tell I tend to keep my computers for a long time. I want the 16" M3 MBP for the screen size and quality. Regretfully I have to have windows as part of my work. I can't get a straight answer as to how much RAM I need for this. Is 18 GB enough or should I go as high as 36 GB, 16 for each when I am running Parallels?
